Resources for Midwives
Resources for Private Sector and Independent Midwives & Nursing Professionals
Our mission is to assist independent midwives to strengthen your practices, share your experiences, and learn what others are doing that works well.To do this, PSP-One provides in-country training and assistance in a number of ways. Some of the resources that have been created for this are listed at the end of this page under Resources. Or, if you have specific questions, you may contact us at info@psp-one.com.
Online Community for Midwives
The Global Alliance for Nursing and Midwifery (GANM) has established virtual workspaces that facilitate sharing and exchanging knowledge, expertise, experience, materials, tools, success stories and lessons learned within and between countries. They are supported by the partners of the Implementing Best Practices (IBP) Initiative in Reproductive Health.
They offer midwives and nursing professionals a resource library of published materials, announcements, a calendar of events, and periodic discussions on topics of interest. While their focus is not solely on independent or private sector midwifery, there are a number of relevant resources and discussions to be found. We hope you'll investigate the opportunity and join if interested!
Visit the GANM site to learn more and subscribe to the e-mail news.
