Every year approximately 1.7 million children die as a result of diarrhea and dehydration. In the majority of cases, this is preventable through exclusive breastfeeding, improved hygiene and sanitation and access to clean water, yet diarrhea is still one of the leading causes of death among children under five. This one-pager looks at ways in which Pediatric Zinc can be used to help treat diarrhea cases among children in developing countries.
