The creation of a quality assurance program within PROFAMILIA, a private sector provider of reproductive health services with 17 clinics in Nicaragua, is the topic of this case study, provided by Dr. Oscar Nuñez of the Quality Assurance Project. The intervention included developing a strategic plan with specific quality assurance strategies, training in QA concepts, and the development of standards and protocols for staff at each PROFAMILIA clinic.
