Market Development of Private Health Sector

Private sector initiative of RTM International in Health is to promote sector growth in a more qualitative manner by identifying sector constraints and addressing them through developing sustainable business solutions/services. The interventions undertaken are based on the initial 3 market assessments conducted by RTM International in this sector.

The project team is working with Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Bangladesh Technical Education Board, Ministry of Education and other relevant Govt. agencies and departments in creating favorable policy environment for effective functioning of private health sector.

Towards working out a sustainable solution, technical assistance is being provided to Private Universities, Medical Colleges, Medical Training institutes, Hospitals, Clinics, Diagnostic centers, Pharmaceutical companies, IT service providers, Mobile companies, The Media, and other related private health sector stakeholders.

All program activities are implemented under an innovative cost-sharing mechanism, where the client (private commercial players) bears the major proportion of the total program cost.
