Heineken Highly Active Antiretroviral Therapy (HAART) Program
Progam targets about 28,000 employees and dependents. Objectives are to prevent HIV-infection by improving the knowledge of Heineken employees and their families on the subject of HIV/AIDS, and provide therapy for employees and dependents infected with HIV/AIDS. PharmAccess has supported the implementation of the workplace program by developing the corporate HIV/AIDS policy and protocols, the training of doctors, nurses and laboratory technicians, the evaluation of prevention activities and the upgrading of internal laboratory facilities. In this phase of the project the activities focus on quality control, such as monitoring of patients, organizing refresher courses for the medical staff and quality audits of laboratories.
