MOU with Pharmacy-One
PSP Jordan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the private franchise of pharmacies Pharmacy–One to utilize its training centre in the development and education of community pharmacists in Jordan. The Pharmacy–One training centre for pharmacists will be providing logistical support to the training sessions on oral contraceptives, whereas PSP Jordan will support their training activities by providing a trainer, training materials and family planning brochures. The MOU entitles future cooperation between PSP Jordan and Pharmacy–One to provide 12 training courses in oral contraceptives (OCs) for over 300 community pharmacists. This agreement will ensure favorable private sector cooperation and the sustainability of pharmacists training in the future to improve their role in family planning counseling, in specific to the oral contraceptive users.
