Panel Discussion on PSP-One Sustainability Report
Gael O'Sullivan of Abt Associates led a discussion of her recently published paper, "Moving Toward Sustainability: Transition Strategies for Social Marketing Programs," on Tuesday, October 23rd, from 12-1:30 p.m at Chemonics International headquarters.
Abt Associates, through the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP)-One Project, published this paper and a set of accompanying tools to assist donors and social marketing program implementers to assess progress across several dimensions of sustainability and to identify strategies for strengthening long-term viability. The paper is centered around the "Sustainability Continuum for Social Marketing," which provides benchmarks and indicators to measure technical, financial, institutional and market sustainability. Five country case studies accompany the paper to illustrate concrete examples and lessons learned.
