PSP-One Expert Panel Event at Global Health Council Conference 2007

Making it Work:
Private Sector Partnerships to Improve Women's Health

The theme for 2007's Global Health Council Conference was “Partnerships for Health.” USAID’s PSP-One Project—a leader in private sector partnerships in health—offered expert panel attendees a chance to hear from both sides of a partnership to understand why more developing country private-sector individuals and organizations are engaging in efforts to improve women’s health. The partners discussed, from their perspectives, what motivated them to enter into the partnership, their expectations, the obstacles they encountered and their views on the future of their partnerships.

The four examples demonstrate the various ways partnerships with the private sector help to improve women’s health in developing countries:
